How we handle, protect, and respect your data across the Text2 ecosystem.
1. Definitions
Level 1 User
A visitor who uses our products without creating a Text2 Account.
Level 2 User
A "resident" of Text2 (a user who creates a Text2 Account to access our products).
Level 1 App
Static applications that do not store user data on Text2’s cloud servers.
Level 2 App
Applications that store data on Text2’s cloud servers, ensuring user privacy, and are only active if you create a Text2 Account.
2. Level 1 User
Storage: No Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Stored
Whether you are just visiting to use our utilities for a short time or intending to stay with us long-term, Text2 always respects your freedom. When you use our services without creating an account, you are our special guest. We cannot and do not store any personal data related to you. All your operations are stored locally on your device (IndexedDB), meaning your data stays on your machine and is not sent anywhere else.
Collection: Basic
Data collected from Level 1 Users:
IP Address
We do not use this to identify who you are or where you are. We collect it strictly for two reasons:
- Speed & Routing: Knowing your general region helps our servers route you to the fastest possible connection.
- Security & Spam Prevention: If a specific "license plate" (IP) deliberately spams our network with malicious requests or conducts DDoS attacks, our security infrastructure (powered by Cloudflare) will block it immediately to keep the space safe for everyone.
Anonymous Crash Logs
Acting like an airplane's black box, if an application crashes, the system automatically sends an anonymous error log file to the server so we can identify and fix the issue. This file is fully encrypted and contains absolutely no personal information about you.
3. Level 2 User
If you trust us and want to enhance your Text2 ecosystem experience, you may create a Text2 Account, becoming a Level 2 User. You will receive benefits and advanced features, such as multi-device data synchronization across all supported apps and push notifications.
Storage
Level 1 storage rules apply. In addition, for Level 2 Apps, we store the following:
Email: We store your email address in the Text2 database upon account creation to identify you within the ecosystem.
Text2 Account Password: Your password is saved in our database using secure encryption. This is used to access your Text2 Account.
Data Generated by Level 2 Apps (Synced Content): Stored securely on the Text2 cloud (with encrypted security).
International Data Transfer: Your data may be stored and processed on servers located in various countries where we or our infrastructure partners operate, adhering to strict security standards.
Encryption Privilege: For sensitive applications utilizing End-to-End Encryption, data is encrypted directly on your device. Even Text2’s servers cannot decrypt or read this content.
Collection
- Includes all Level 1 collection.
- Email: We collect your email upon registration and save it in our database to identify you within the Text2 ecosystem.
4. Third-Party Services & Cookies
Our Commitment
Text2 NEVER SELLS your data to anyone. To maintain a free, smooth ecosystem and ensure the project remains sustainable for the next 40 years, we partner with trusted entities:
Google Analytics (Anonymous Measurement)
Acts like a "thermal camera." We only collect aggregated, anonymous statistics (e.g., visitor numbers, popular features) to continuously upgrade our system and user experience. We absolutely do not identify or track who you are individually.
Google AdSense & Text2 Ads
This is the sole funding source that helps us maintain servers for Level 1 Users for free. These services may use a few standard "Cookies" on your device to display relevant ads. You always maintain full control, and can enable or disable these Cookies directly in your browser settings at any time.
Law Enforcement Requests
We place your privacy above all else. Text2 will only consider providing data upon receiving a legitimate, binding request from a Court or authorized government agency in your country. We are committed to strictly verifying the authenticity of every legal document before taking any action to prevent abuse of power.
5. Your Data Control
Level 2 Users have the right to request an export of their data or the permanent deletion of their Text2 Account and all associated cloud-stored data at any time. This permanent, irreversible deletion process will be completed within a maximum of 30 days. You can perform this action directly in your Account Settings or contact us via our support email.
6. Children's Privacy
Text2 services are not directed at individuals under 13 years of age. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children. If we discover that the system has inadvertently collected such data, we will proceed to delete it immediately.
7. Policy Updates
Text2 may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in the ecosystem. When significant changes occur, we will clearly announce the update on our homepage's notification section and publish it widely across all official Text2 social media channels.
